New York Woman's Favorite A&W® Memory is Music to Her Ears; She Wins Jukebox in A&W® Restaurants' Giveaway
Louisville, KY, January 12, 2004 - A New York woman recalled a fond memory of growing up with A&W Root Beer® Floats, and won a Rock-Ola® jukebox as a result. Andrea End of Croton on Hudson, N.Y., won the jukebox when her entry was selected at random from more than 12,000 others. The jukebox was the grand prize in the national "Cruisin' A&W® Jukebox Giveaway."
"I remember drinking A&W Root Beer® floats with my family when I was a child," End said. "It was one of my favorite childhood memories. I entered the contest on line because it sounded like fun. I never dreamed I'd win."
The contest was held on line from June 28 through Aug. 29, in conjunction with the A&W® All-American Food® "Cruisin' Combos" promotion. The jukebox was delivered in December, just in time for Christmas.
